Zinyathi Lodge is one of the Limpopo Province's jewels. This magnificent game ranch near Lephalale (Ellisras) hosts Rhino, a herd of Buffalo, Sable Antelope, Giraffe, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Bush pig, Blue Wildebeest, Golen Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Gemsbok (Oryx), Kudu, Impala, Black Impala, Nyala, Blesbok, White Blesbok, Burchell's Zebra, Ostrich, Duiker, Steenbok and Warthog. Local predators include Brown Hayena, Caracal (Lynx), Black Backed Jackal, Bat Eared Fox, Sivit Cat, and various smaller cats. Occasional visitors to the ranch includes Leopard and Cheetah.

The ranch is malaria free and situated in the summer rainfall area with an average rainfall of 450mm per annum. Temperatures average between 17 and 37 degrees centigrade. The ranch is 950 metres above sea level, relatively flat with reddish sandy soil on the surface and clay below. The animals graze on "Soetveld" also known as Rooibos veldt, Maroela and Knoppiesdoring veldt as well as the well known Acacia veldt.

Accommodation is luxurious with on-suite facilities. You can swim in the pool to cool off in the summer heat or participate in clay pigeon shooting. Other activities to enjoy includes, hiking, birding (vultures breed on the ranch), game viewing and predator calling at night.

Enjoy real African cuisine at the lapa and watch the herd of Buffalo and other animals quench its thirst at the lake next to the lodge, including a pair of Black Backed Jackal feeding on the insects drawn by the lights.

The main house accommodates 8 people. It provides for self catering and includes a kitchen, dining room, lounge with DSTV, bathroom with both a shower and bath, as well as a seperate toilet. Meals are usually served on the spacious stoep.
